 FOUNDER OF THE DANCE SUITE

    ​ LISA COOK LISTD MSDTA  PGE 

 Lisa trained at Bird College and is a Licentiate member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). She has gained a Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Classical Ballet, Tap and holds her Licentiate qualification in Modern Theatre dancing.After graduating at Bird College in Dance and Musical Theatre, she performed professionally around the UK and abroad. Highlights include, ‘The Styne Way’ London Palladium performing with Chita Rivera, Rita Moreno and Tommy Tune as well as recording’s at Abbey Road Studios with Gary Barlow and Alfie Boe and performing as an Ensemble singer at Buckingham Palace during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Whilst performing she taught in various studios and colleges in London and around the UK including Dance Attic, The Centre Performing Arts College, D&B Academy of Performing Arts and North West Kent College. Throughout her career Lisa has furthered her teaching qualifications including studying at Portsmouth University to gain a Post Graduate in Education (PGE).  She also continued to progress in the ISTD under the guidance of Karen King and Elizabeth Harrison. She is furthering her development in ISTD Modern and Tap, delivering the DDE dance teachers training with the guidance of her mentor and the lead examiner, Lyn Richardson.

Lisa has recently become a member of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance.
